About The Author
Patricia Fones was born at the end of World War Two and lived in a small town called Barrow-in-Furness in the northwest of
England.
Her playground for many years were the bombed-out buildings scattered around her home, until one day all the bricks and rubble were finally cleared away. In later years she
came to love singing and dancing, and travelled all over the country, performing for all the widows and widowers who had lost their loved ones in the war.
Patricia left school and started work in a local sewing factory, and her dancing continued - only now it was Rock 'n' Roll! Now retired, she still does her sewing and a little
artwork, but her passion is writing.
