Synopsis
The village regions of Kapit in South East Asia were unique for their beauty. It was a land where every home had a least one coconut tree and Hibiscus bush...and quite often, secrets best left untold.
Li and Kang Shu were born locally, second-generation from Mainland China, the proud parents of a remarkable little girl they called Kimberley Shu.
Share Kimberley’s adventures as she learns the traditions of her heritage and culture, and share her discoveries as a young Kimberley realises her unique sixth sense hides a terrible secret from the past...

From The Book
Li packed up the empty lunch basket and headed home with Kimberley. She looked up at the sky and noticed how dark it had become. Thunder could be heard in the distance now as the storm approached.
Farmers were gathering their machinery and buffaloes, knowing that it would be impossible to work if the storm broke. Li took Kimberley's hand and ran as fast as she could.
As they arrived at the gate, a deluge of rain, frogs, small animals, insects and hailstones suddenly fell from the sky. It was a disgusting sight to behold, Li thought.
"Mother, I knew the storm was coming,” Kimberley said. "And now it's raining frogs and insects," she giggled.
"It's not funny, Kimberley. It's quite disgusting really!"
"But how did I know?"
"It's your innate instinct, I'm afraid, although some may say it's a gift, but I'm not really sure," Li told her, shivering a little.
Kimberley didn't understand what her mother was saying but was not scared, although her mother seemed a little frightened and quickly took her inside as more strange objects fell from the sky.
