Synopsis
Suffering a devastating childhood loss, Jonathan Edward Malone becomes withdrawn and despaired, blaming himself for the tragedies that have befallen his family.

Twenty years later, plagued with a succession of disturbing nightmares, the chance discovery of a hidden message on the back of an antique looking-glass draws Jonathan into a subconscious adventure of mystery, betrayal, revelation and intrigue, as he desperately searches for a solution to the riddle in the glass.

However, the secret he uncovers is only the beginning of an extraordinary and spectacular journey, where the demons he encounters are not just those buried deep inside his mind!

This one volume edition includes the complete and revised texts of Reflections, The Anvil Amulet and Wraith Tide.

About The Author
Born in the United Kingdom, Neil Cladingboel moved to Australia with his family in 1961, spending his early years in Woomera, the heart of the Australian Outback, before settling in Melbourne where he completed his schooling.

After an extensive background in Catering and Hospitality, which took him around the country, Neil embarked on a new career in Real Estate and Land Marketing. Having dabbled with creative writing and contemporary poetry for many years, publishing Reflections, book one of The Erebus Equilibrium series, in November 2000, was the realization of a life-long dream.

Neil has since published The Anvil Amulet and Wraith Tide, books two and three of the Erebus series, Tale Spin, a collection of short fiction, and the short stories, Death Mask, Weatherwood, Ghost of Elysium and Anomaly. The first three books of the Erebus series were recently reprinted in a new omnibus edition. In 2005, Neil published Bortag's Curse, a companion novel to the series.

Neil is a member of the Australian Horror Writers Association, founder of Equilibrium Books, and editor of FlashSpec Anthology. He has also contributed stories, articles and reviews to numerous web sites and e-zines, most notably at SFFWorld.com. He currently resides south of Perth, Western Australia, where he is working on a new Erebus novel, Beloved Sons, due for release in 2012.

From The Book
As she had done so often before, Cassandra marvelled at the hordes of marching spectres; introducing herself to those that flanked her, as if they were polite strangers, meeting for the very first time. None of them would ever remember that they’d been repeating the same, courteous ritual for many years. Some had been marching for centuries.

Though far removed from Heaven itself, Elysium was not an unpleasant place. Those that chose would continue to march until reluctantly, they relinquished their pasts. Once cleansed, they were then free to dwell forever under the warm sun or laze upon the golden sands at the river's edge. Though not exactly a punishment, the daily marching was the sentence of their judgements and a consequence of their arrival in Erebus.

These reluctant ghosts of Elysium were granted eternal salvation in return for their unfettered spirits that, once completely void of memories, would be sent back to Earth, living again as the souls of the newborn.

Cassandra however, like so many others before her, had no interest in a life devoid of memory, and struggled constantly to hold on to a past that faded with every new crossing of the fields...
